
This week I decided to convey my message through some poetry, a passtime I have developed over the past few years as I have gotten more into writing. I hope some of you find this one helpful and find the change of communication somewhat enlightening!
A poem I will write.
A message I will communicate.
I hope it sticks.
I hope you will spread the word and tell your mate.
Our body is strong, resilient by nature.
Our muscles, our bones.
They pull and push.
They bear our weight.
They help us to do,
To do what we must.
To hold this weight.
To continue strong and true.
A challenge they need.
Hear my message.
We now must push.
We must now take heed.
We get one body.
Use it we must,
For sitting to chill.
Is nice for a time.
However,
A strong body it will not build.
It won’t do.
It will not fit the bill.
Lift some weight.
Take that stroll.
Move your body more.
It is a cheap price to pay.
To get strong and remain independent.
To be graced with another powerful day.
I give you this power.
Motion is lotion.
Our joints are stiff.
The latter line will hold.
We can’t go wrong.
Can’t go wrong.
Getting strong.
